Woburn’s Tidd Home to be Showcased in SCI’s Annual Holiday House Tour
WOBURN, MA, November 24, 2008—The Tidd Home, a unique residence for senior men and women, has been selected by Social Capital Inc. Woburn as one of eight homes to be showcased as part of SCI Woburn’s fifth bi-annual Woburn Holiday House Tour. The tour typically draws over 150 visitors to homes gaily decorated for the holiday season.
This year’s tour will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm on Sunday, December 7th, and will feature eight of Woburn’s most interesting and best-decorated homes, including the Tidd Home, built nearly 200 years ago in 1809. The house tour is a fundraising event organized by SCI Woburn.
Founded in 1886, the Tidd Home, for both senior men and women, is a charming, intimate, historical residence offering an exceptional lifestyle—independence with security, privacy with companionship, comfort with affordability.
The Tidd Home blends Federal-era architecture and Victorian decor with the comfort and convenience of the most up-to-date amenities. The Tidd Home’s directors, trustees, volunteers and residents have come together to decorate the residence in anticipation of this year’s tour. The Tidd Home is one of the tour’s “starting houses” where tour-goers can come to pick up or buy tickets, buy raffle tickets, and pick up the Tour Programs.
